After more than thirty years working on high-end decorative projects across Europe, Vincent Perbal shifted his practice in 2025 entirely towards paintings. His background remains present. Not as technique, but as sensibility.

Vincent does not work with conventional paint. His paintings are made using lime-based paints and mineral patinas, materials that react to air, time and surface. Each work is built slowly, in layers that accumulate, erode and resurface. Texture is not added, it emerges.

The landscapes and skies he paints are not tied to a specific place. They are blurred, dreamlike and slightly disorienting, hovering between memory and imagination. Horizons dissolve, forms remain unstable, light appears suspended rather than fixed.

What Vincent creates is not a depiction, but an atmosphere. Quiet, tactile and otherworldly. Each painting carries its own skin, its own rhythm, its own sense of time.
